Reflection on first draft
                                                                        My reflection
Writing the argumentative report had its positive and negatives. One negative in writing this

report was correctly making an appeal to logos. I had trouble organizing my claims and connecting it

back to my thesis. Often times I felt as if my claims supported a more general topic of suicide where

as my thesis was talking about suicide in only schools. When writing my final, I plan on changing

my claims, so that they reflect my thesis. Second another issue I ran into was providing enough

evidence. I wanted the audience to find me credible which is why finding scholarly journals for my

thesis was a little hard. For the next time, I will do more research in other databases for scholarly

journals.
One positive point about my report was that I was able to keep a subjective tone throughout the

report. I wanted the audience to know my strong opinion on this topic and how important it was to

address it. I also feel that the argumentative report was a little easier than the informative report

because you're able to incorporate or thoughts by taking a stance. Second, I also like how my appeal

to ethos was convincing. I tried to target the audience so that they feel sympathy about the innocent

children taking their lives. For my final report I also want to include a story of a person who

committed suicide, so that the appeal is stronger. Overall, my report needs more improvement in

order to get my point across.
