Subject: The Importance of keeping Daca


     On Tuesday you will be making a very big decision on whether or not to repeal Daca. If you do choose to repeal Daca you will be affecting the lives of over 800,000 Daca recipients for the worse. For this reason it is essential to keep the Daca program alive because many young immigrants depend on it. 

     Daca is a deferred action taken by former President Barack Obama to prevent the deportation of undocumented children otherwise known as “Dreamers”. Not only this, but Daca provides the opportunity for many dreamers to get jobs, allowing them to support their families. As a dreamer myself, I believe that it is unfair for you to take Daca away. You would be putting fear of deportation into the dreamers, taking their jobs away, and tearing their families apart.

    Mr. President, if you really want to make America great again then there are solutions you can take into consideration in order to support the Dreamers. First of, you can leave the Daca program alone. Why abolish something that works? Secondly, you can further your support by passing a Dream Act that can lead to citizenship. Many Dreamers across the country have proved themselves vital to society by becoming professionals, paying taxes, and giving back to their communities. 


    By taking these solutions into consideration you would not only be helping Dreamers, but also the entire country. America would continue thriving economically, socially, and politically. You are a strong minded person, but I hope you have in your heart the decency to allow Dreamers and their families to live peacefully in the United States. You have been working hard to solve the issues that occur in the U.S, and I want to thank you for that.
